JesKid's World: Resurrection

For those who were part of Mr. Ben's masterfully planned reunion of everybody in the DbP chat room, our glorious leader Jesse mentioned how he would like to have another JesKid's World site where everybody can hang out like the old days. He still owns the domain, but has nobody to design, maintain, and admin the site.

Basically I wanted to start this discussion to see who out there in the DbP community would be willing to work together and make this happen. Mr. Ben showed interest in doing some admin stuff and I have a small background of Photoshop and web design, but we need people who know PHP or ASP templating (something similar to PHPNuke or CMSMS) and can design something like the earlier version.

Toss out your ideas here and what you might like to see on the new version that the old site did not have (or may not have worked as well as it should).

I never really set out to be a website community leader - but it seemed needed to achieve what I wanted to do with my life.

SO that said couple of quick questions: Does the Ning interface work for you or are you looking for something else? Is it a branding issue (DBP vs Jeskid's World) or a functionality issue?

Think of something like RoosterTeeth. They have all their series on one site that also serves as their community site. Also I was wondering if you ever planned on putting Jeskid TV episodes back online.
I have the last episode and a couple are on YouTube, but I wanted to download all of them.
I haven't watch some in a long time. Anyways, blah blah blah. lol
I think it would be really good if we are able to get a community site like we used to have and have people on chat rooms all the time like we used too.
It was a good way for people to take a load off and have fun with everyone else. I really miss those crazy nights and random shit happening.

Re-releasing them wouldn't be a bad idea, as you have said more in those short flicks than some filmmakers have said in their entire careers - oh Michael Bay... actions, in your case, don't say as much as words. Even if The Rock and Transformers were kinda cool.

And moving Shades to another site, Jeskid's World, may claim a whole new audience dedicated to your work - 4 years is a loooong time on the interwebs. Dunno if that's what you're going for with this new site, but both projects we incredible Jesse! I'd love to see them get all the respect they deserve!; ▶ Reply to This
